I am from England, but live in Klaipeda in Lithuania. I work in a variety of areas linked to English language teaching and education consultancy. I began teaching in 1999 at Klaipeda International School of Languages, where I worked for over four years, spending my final year as Director of Studies. Since then I have taught English for the British Council in Qatar, Hong Kong and Libya. Also in Cairo, Egypt, where I was the Senior Teacher for Adult Academic Services at the second busiest British Council Teaching Centre in the world. I have also worked on a project for the Malaysian Ministry of Education mentoring primary school English teachers in rural Borneo.
I have a degree in Communication Studies, a Postgraduate Diploma in Information Management and an MA in Modern English Language. I also have two professional English language teaching qualifications: the Cambridge/RSA CELTA, which teachers should get before they start teaching and the Trinity Licentiate Diploma in TESOL, which is a higher level (known as ‘TEFLQ’) qualification for experienced teachers. I look forward very much to working with you and helping you realise what you can achieve with English. |
